Getting students involved in activities could be challenging sometimes. You have to remember to keep up with the teenage trends in order to keep them interested in any proposed activities. You can always survey students and see what the interest level is prior to proposing activities.

BE CREATIVE WITH YOUR ANNOUNCEMENTS

TO GET THE RESULTS YOU WANT, YOU HAVE TO GIVE MORE THAN YOU EXPECT.

Sell it to the students. Even though your activities are Free (Mostly) Be a salesperson and close the deal. Convince the students your activity ROCKS!

ACTIVITIES WILL HELP STUDENTS WITH SELF-CONFIDENCE AND A SENSE OF COMMUNITY.

If you make it complicated to understand then you will make it harder for students to signup for anything. 

DISPLAY ATTRACTIVE COLORS

If feasible, go paperless. Save the cost on paper and color ink. Use a TV and create slides announcing your activities. Make it colorful and straight to the point. How do students signup? There are many ways. A sheet next to the TV or electronically through a website. (e.g. Google Docs, Forms, etc. It's up to your organization and budget. Remember any new or improve platform requires training. Train clearly.
